  • We had booked a 3 hour whale watching tour in Húsavík. We did not leave the fjord to go on the open sea. Unfortunately we were not lucky that day to a whale. Instead we had many people sea sick that day :-) Actually we did not see anything. This was end of March. At least we had the chance to fish a few minutes. We were offered some hot chocolate. The fish was grilled on a BBQ back at the adventure center. I would not repeat the trip that early in the year as the chance are low to see whales. If you find the information useful please give me a thumbs up. Thanks
  • This tour definitely exceeded my expectations. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and the boat was not overcrowded. After 2 hours of not seeing any whales, we finally spotted some in the distance and the captain took us as close as possible, even though we were over our allotted tour time. We even waited for the whales to reappear after they dove down into the ocean (about 30 minutes). The team went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience and exposure to the whales. On the ride back, we caught about 10 gigantic cod, which they filleted and grilled when we arrived back to the dock. I am usually not a big fan of tours, but I would recommend this to anyone.
