Established in 1974, the park is said to be where Rudyard Kipling took inspiration for his famous novel “The Jungle Book.” Take a safari through the thick jungle, open grasslands, and sprawling meadows to discover an abundance of plant and animal life. Spanning over 940 sq km (363 sq mi), the reserve offers sanctuary to a large population of royal Bengal tigers and Indian leopards; if you’re lucky, you might spot one on your visit. Learn how, in recent years, the park has played an instrumental part in saving swamp deer from extinction. At the end of your safari, stop by Bamni Dadar (translated as "Sunset Point") to admire the magnificent sunset. Kanha is a beautiful park with amazing scenery a lots of wildlife. We did 5 safaris here from Kisli/Khatia gate (2 a day) and saw swamp deer, spotted deer, sambar, barking deer, blackbuck, langurs... more »
