Topped by colorful domes and accented with countless spires, balconies, and towers, Mysuru Palace allows you to see a real royal residence up close. One of the more popular palaces to visit in the nation, the site boasts a collection of arms and armory. Once inside, you'll marvel at the lavish decorations of stained glass and bright colors, the brainchild of an English architect who rebuilt the palace in 1912. Galleries with vaulted ceilings contain artwork dating back to the days of the British Empire in India. Keep in mind that you cannot take photographs inside and will need to store your camera in one of the provided lockers before you enter. Mysuru Palace reviews
Beautiful palace. The signs guiding visitors need to be clearer. Provision for cold water also needs to be provided. more »
Nice palace, good one day trip from bengaluru. Currently, due to covid, museum is closed. We were lucky to see the golden throne exposed, extra cost of 50 inr to visit it. more »
Awesome palace. You probably see 10 percent of the palace but worth the time. Beautiful three dimensional paintings done decades ago was a sight to see. We had a guide so he had actual pictures of the ceremonies done last year which was great. We went on Sunday so they had the lights turned on which was awesome. The lights get turned on at 7 pm. Beautiful architecture allowing a good ventilation on a warm day in the main hall was remarkable. Must see place if you are around Mysore.
One of the beautiful palaces in the country. Too much crowded, go with family, have some great photo framing family pictures. Go inside if you want to view the architectural beauty of the palace otherwise stay outside because there's too much heat inside (because of crowd, govt should consider to install AC now). Nice place to visit if you are in Mysore. Interiors of this palace are amazing. You will be amazed to see this and only one question will arise in your mind..how so beautiful! How anyone can carve rocks so beautifully. A temple is also there and a garden. The washroom is there for male and the female. Wonderful light and water show by evening. That was fabulous.. You ca have a look at it despite visiting the palace in the day time..
