  • What a gem of a find within easy walking distance from Queenstown centre. Conservation of the native flora and fauna is at the heart of its ethos. See endangered species in close up and learn about the important work the park is doing in saving and replenishing these wild animals. The audio trail is very informative and the keepers and other staff are a mine of information. The talks are a must and visit the shop at the end for quality local produce.
  • I went here on New Years day, which apparently is a special day at the park as they commemorate the day the original owner died. There is a really good conservation show that you can watch, which takes about 30 minutes. They also feed the kiwis so you can see them, but be aware, photos are NOT allowed in the kiwi houses. There are a variety of birds that you can see, and you receive an audio guide to walk along with and learn more about the park and the birds in it.
