Bormes-les-Mimosas is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France.It has a Mediterranean climate.Bormes-les-Mimosas is a city in bloom and won the 2003 Gold Medal awarded by the Entente Florale. Relax by the water at La plage and Heraclee Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bormes-Les-Mimosas: La Croix-Valmer (Plage de Vergeron, Plage du Debarquement, & more). There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Plage de Jean Blanc, do a tasting at Domaine Sainte Marie, and enjoy the sand and surf at Plage d'Aiguebelle.

On the 27th (Fri), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Basilique Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, then take a stroll through Cours Mirabeau, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Paroisse Cathédrale Saint Sauveur Aix-en-Provence, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde. Best known as a fortified town, Carcassonne is a walled city that provided the inspiration for the castle in Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" and the location for many scenes in Kevin Costner's movie "Robin Hood." For a daily dose of excitement, medieval jousting tournaments are held twice per day between the two walls--while this may sound like a typical touristy show, it's actually an entertaining display of combative competition and horsemanship.
On the 1st (Tue), do a tasting at O'Vineyards, then contemplate the long history of La cité médiévale, and then take a stroll through Cité de Carcassonne. On your second day here, do a tasting at Chateau St Jacques d’Albas, contemplate the long history of Cathar Castles, pause for some serene contemplation at Eglise Saint-Nazaire, then explore the historical opulence of Chateau Comtal, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at St. Vincent's Church.
