Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Ostia Antica and San Pietro in Vincoli. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Palatine Hill and St. Peter's Basilica. The adventure continues: explore the galleries of Vatican Museums, pause for some serene contemplation at Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola, admire the masterpieces at Borghese Gallery, and admire the striking features of Pantheon.

For reviews, maps, traveler tips, and tourist information, you can read our Rome online itinerary creator.

Toronto, Canada to Rome is an approximately 13.5-hour flight. You'll lose 6 hours traveling from Toronto to Rome due to the time zone difference.
