The largest and most populous city in New Zealand, Auckland combines a rich history and thriving contemporary culture in an abundance of museums, art galleries, and performance venues.
On the 16th (Thu), contemplate the waterfront views at Devonport, then get engrossed in the history at Auckland War Memorial Museum, and then make a trip to Sky Tower.

Atlanta, USA to Auckland is an approximately 22-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus. The time zone difference when traveling from Atlanta to Auckland is 17 hours. Getting from Rotorua to Wellington by flight takes about 3 hours. Other options: do a combination of bus and flight; or drive. When traveling from Rotorua in April, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Wellington: temperatures range from 63°F by day to 54°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Tue) so you can travel to Queenstown.
