Visiting Boulders Beach and Clifton Beaches will get you outdoors. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at The Franschhoek Motor Museum and Bloubergstrand Beach. Take a break from Cape Town with a short trip to Fairview Wine and Cheese in Suider Paarl, about 42 minutes away. Nantes, France to Cape Town is an approximately 23-hour flight. The time zone difference moving from Central European Time to South Africa Standard Time is 1 hour. Expect little chillier temperatures when traveling from Nantes in June; daily highs in Cape Town reach 20°C and lows reach 9°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Tue) early enough to drive to Hermanus.

Renowned as a premier whale-watching destination, Hermanus grew from a quaint fishing village nestled on Walker Bay.
Step off the beaten path and head to Cape Agulhas - Southernmost Tip of Africa and Waenhuiskrans Nature Reserve. Step out of the city life by going to Grotto Beach and Stony Point Penguin Colony. There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Fernkloof Nature Reserve, do a tasting at Domaine Des Dieux, and enjoy the sand and surf at Voelklip Beach.

You can drive from Cape Town to Hermanus in 1.5 hours. Another option is to do a combination of bus and taxi. In June in Hermanus, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 9°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 30th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel to Oudtshoorn.

Enshrouded in lush indigenous forest and surrounding a scenic lagoon of the same name, the Garden Route town of Knysna has plenty to offer.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Garden Route (Tsitsikamma, Knysna, Wilderness) National Park and Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary. Visiting Adrenaline & Extreme Tours and Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre will get you outdoors. Change things up with a short trip to Elephant Sanctuary in The Crags (about 44 minutes away). The adventure continues: tour the pleasant surroundings at Brenton on Sea, pause for some serene contemplation at Holy Trinity Church, and take in the exciting artwork at Jandreart Studio.

Drive from Oudtshoorn to Knysna in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In July, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 8th (Sun) to allow time for travel to Hoedspruit.

Hoedspruit offers proximity to Kruger National Park and features an airport, making it a popular jump-off point for a variety of tours and safaris.
Step off the beaten path and head to Moholoholo Wildlife Rehab Centre and Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre. Step out of the city life by going to Game drives at Phalaborwa Gate in Kruger National Park and Kinyonga Reptile Center. When in Hoedspruit, make a side trip to see Safaris in Kruger National Park, approximately 1 hour away. It doesn't end there: view the masterpieces at iNyoka Art Gallery and relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers.

Getting from Knysna to Hoedspruit by combination of bus and flight takes about 6.5 hours. Other options: drive. When traveling from Knysna in July, plan for somewhat warmer days in Hoedspruit, with highs around 26°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Thu) to allow time to drive to Graskop.
