Luang Prabang

— 4 nights
Designated a World Heritage Site in 1995, Luang Prabang sits at the meeting point of two rivers and offers numerous opportunities for sailing, climbing, and exploring scenic caves and waterfalls.
Visit Wat Sensoukharam and Wat Xieng Mouane for their historical value. Discover out-of-the-way places like Nahm Dong Park and That Chomsi Stupa. Step out of Luang Prabang with an excursion to 100 Waterfalls in Nong Khiaw--about 52 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: play a few rounds at Luang Prabang Golf Club, pause for some serene contemplation at Wat Nong Sikhounmuang, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Wat Choumkhong, and identify plant and animal life at Kuang Si Butterfly Farm.

To find maps, other places to visit, traveler tips, and other tourist information, use the Luang Prabang trip planning website.

If you are flying in from Singapore, the closest major aiport is Luang Phabang International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 38°C in August, and nighttime lows around 28°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
