Once a bustling city in southern Myanmar, the market town of Bago mostly draws visitors on day trips from Yangon, coming to see the relics and historic monuments from its heyday.
On the 13th (Thu), pause for some photo ops at Kyaik Pun Pagoda, take in the spiritual surroundings of Mya Tha Lyaung Reclining Buddha, appreciate the history behind Shwethalyaung Buddha, then make a trip to Mahazedi Pagoda, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of ShweguLay Pagoda. On the next day, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kyaly Khat Wai Monastery, step into the grandiose world of Kambazathadi Golden Palace, make a trip to Shwemawdaw Paya, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Hintha Gon Paya, and finally make a trip to Snake Pagoda.

Although Myanmar moved its capital to Naypyidaw in 2005, Yangon remains the largest city and commercial hub in the country.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Htwe Oo Myanmar Puppet Theater as well as Sule Pagoda.
