Miyakojima

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Mon): tour the pleasant surroundings at Sunayama Beach, then enjoy the sand and surf at Yonaha Maehama Beach, then snap pictures at Irabu Ohashi, and finally contemplate the waterfront views at Toriike Pond. Okinawa Prefecture is the southernmost prefecture of Japan. It comprises hundreds of the Ryukyu Islands in a chain over long. The Ryukyus extend southwest from Kyushu (the southwesternmost of Japan's four main islands) to Taiwan. The Okinawa Prefecture encompasses the southern two thirds of that chain.
