A flourishing port city and magnet for the spice trade since the 15th century, Kochi (Cochin) proudly bears its distinct international influence and local Keralan culture.

On the 13th (Sat), steep yourself in history at St. George Orthodox Koonan Kurish Old Syrian Church, make a trip to Chinese Fishing Nets, admire the landmark architecture of Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, then deepen your understanding at Kerala Kathakali Centre, and finally take a stroll through Jew Town.

New Delhi to Kochi (Cochin) is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from New Delhi in February, expect nights in Kochi (Cochin) to be warmer, around 28°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 38°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Sun) early enough to drive to Munnar.

Sitting at the point where three mountain rivers meet, the hill station of Munnar has become known as a tea-growing center in the south of the country.

Traveling by car from Kochi (Cochin) to Munnar takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In February in Munnar, expect temperatures between 39°C during the day and 26°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 16th (Tue) so you can catch the bus to Alappuzha.

Affectionately known as Alleppey to locals and tourists alike, Alappuzha acts as a major transport and cultural hub on the Kerala backwaters.

On the 17th (Wed), kick back and relax at Alappuzha Beach, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Marari Beach, and then stroll through Mararikulam Beach. Keep things going the next day: look for all kinds of wild species at Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, then relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, and then add some adventure to your tour with a kayaking and canoeing tour.

You can take a bus from Munnar to Alappuzha in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. In February, daytime highs in Alappuzha are 38°C, while nighttime lows are 28°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Kovalam.

Famous for the groves of coconut trees from which it takes its name, Kovalam offers a long, white sandy beach on the Arabian Sea.

Start off your visit on the 19th (Fri): soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kovalam Avaduthura Devi Temple, then kick back and relax at Kovalam Beach, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Lighthouse Beach. Keep things going the next day: step off the mainland to explore Poovar Island, then enjoy the sand and surf at Hawa Beach, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Samudra Beach.

Getting from Alappuzha to Kovalam by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of bus and taxi; or fly. February in Kovalam sees daily highs of 37°C and lows of 28°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 20th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
