Explore one of China's largest markets dedicated to selling luxurious pearl crafts at Pearl Market (Hongqiao Market). In addition to these underwater calcium gems, the market also offers silk, seafood, watches, and digital products. Peruse through varieties of seafood ranging from shrimp, fish, and crab, to rare ingredients like abalone, sea pumpkin, and shark. Inspect the displayed branded watches and electronic equipment, or head to the silk district to browse through lavish materials. The central part of the market features fashionable pearl jewelery and ornaments which come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. Feel free to bargain with retailers; also watch your possessions at all times since it usually gets very crowded. Its a must visit market for me whenever i visit Beijing. A best place to be for the foreigners if looking to buy gifts for their loved ones. I recommend to buy hand bags , pearls and clothes from here.

If you are in Beijing for shopping, there is nothing better than the Hongqiao Pearl Market. On the ground floor, there are multiple items from electronics, mobiles, watches, games, etc. On the second floor its mainly branded clothes and toys (bear in mind these are fakes - do not overpay for them as if they were branded). On the other floors, there are pearl shops. Bear in mind that this is a bargain market. Never pay the price the shoppers tell. As a rule of thumb, negotiate at 10% of the price said or below. Beware the more you bargain you may find better prices when you walk along the shops. Never buy first time. negotiate find the best prices first. I would suggest buying at this Market which is much cheaper than the Silk Street Market. All shoppers speak English. The metro station is also very near - the Tiantiandongmen Station. So, its nearly an easy location to visit.
