Create an itinerary including Amoudi Bay
A place of romantic sunsets and traditional taverns, Amoudi Bay sits just below the small port town of Oia. After a swim in the Aegean, scramble up the bay's red cliffs to take in sweeping views of the sea and the coastline, dotted by tiny beaches attracting water lovers from around the world. The bay gets extremely crowded by mid-afternoon, so try to arrive as early in the day as possible. It's best to spend the first part of the afternoon exploring the bay's many seafood restaurants, leaving plenty of time to find a good spot for watching the sunset near the water or up on the cliffs. Plan a trip to Oia easily and quickly by telling Inspirock to suggest an itinerary.

  • If you've hired a car, it might be easier to park 2 kms away and walk to Amoudi Bay. Its absolutely stunning to see oia from down here and a bit of an adventure to trek around parts of the cliff...

  • Wonderful place. Quiet. People are fishing here. Clear water. Good view. We were there during sunset, was beautiful.

  • Lovely place, can also be reached with a car, sometimes parking some distance away. Full of restaurants mostly seafood. There is a nice path from the edge of the pier along the cliff, recommend walking it as much as possible inside. At a staged point there was an avalanche, you can pass over it. In summary, the view from the pier on the restaurants is amazing. Worth going down even if you will arrive on foot down the stairway.
  • Beautiful bay. The seafood is fresh caught and delicious. The trip up and down the stairs is a moderate climb but well worth it. There is a swimming area if you walk around the cliff but not a beach type. Strong swimmers only.
