Create an itinerary including Dhanushkodi Beach Point
A tour of Dhanushkodi Beach Point allows you to see how a bustling city became a ghost town after a natural disaster. A 1964 cyclone destroyed a railway line that caused over 100 deaths, while the total toll eventually reached over 1,800 casualties. When you visit, note how small islets and a series of rocks indicate where a small land connection exists between Sri Lanka and the southeastern tip of India. Visit during daylight hours if you don't like exploring spooky abandoned towns on your own. • Bay of Bengal on one side and Indian ocean on the other, just a road in between. It's the life time experience. Nice sea food in local shops. Excellent view. No toilet facility. Not much security
  • Natures boundless beauty. I visited a long time back (15 years ago) and now in 2023 feb. I really miss its nature, very crowded, cant feel that beach sand, also that we are at the end of world , which i even felt in my childhood.
