A major international and domestic port in the 19th century, Mojiko Retro now operates primarily as a center for tourism, with many authentic Maijo and Taisho buildings renovated and housing museums, cafes, and eateries. From the majestic Mijoki Station, inspired by the architecture of Rome's Termini Station, take a stroll along a boulevard of historic sites, including a former customs house converted into a free art gallery. After the novelty of walking across the Blue Wing drawbridge, don't miss panoramic views from the top of Mojito Retro Observation Room, a 103 m (337 ft) tower overlooking the entire port. At the end of boulevard, Kaikyo Plaza provides a wealth of restaurants, all serving the local delicacy yaki curry.
