Initiated in 2014 by a Dutch couple, Kuang Si Butterfly Farm gathers entomologists and botanists to study and preserve Laos' butterflies and help reduce alarming environmental issues. Situated some 300 m (984 ft) before the a scenic waterfall, the center also educates visitors to raise awareness about this region's delicate yet remarkable ecology. Visit the picnic area, the natural swimming pools formed from the waterfall, and the lovely bakery. The family-friendly attraction welcomes children, and also offers volunteering opportunities. At the Falls,we were approached by a friendly Dutch lady who told us about the Butterfly Park which I visited on the way back to Luang Prabang with our daughter. It was a haven of delight and peace...

I loved it, very peaceful and beautiful gardens and butterflies. Also a natural fish spa, where you can put your feet in and very good cake and coffee. Totally recommend it and I personally liked this place even better than the Kuang Si waterfalls.
