Create an itinerary including Tad Sae Waterfall
Pouring over wide multi-level curved limestone rock formations among trees, Tad Sae Waterfall produce a silky canopy-like effect of dispersed water falling with a constant roar. The water reaches the falls through a moss-covered forest with trees growing straight out of the rock, forming several terraced pools. Take an elephant ride and join the local youngsters for a dip in an emerald-green pond, or walk the boardwalk to reach a wooden observation deck. Thatched huts next the falls provide boat rides. The falls' volume varies quite a bit, with the most dramatic time during rainy season between July and February. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Luang Prabang holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Tad Sae Waterfall and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • The waterfalls here are braided and stepped. It's very scenic. I have an affinity for traveling to view falls, which I've done in several countries.

  • The falls here don't quite have the majesty of Kuang Si, but they're still very picturesque. Some of the facilities at the site are still closed post-COVID and there's a general sense of the place...

  • Great waterfall that allows swimming everywhere. This is not the tourist hot spot but more a hang out for locals. You must ride a longboat to get here which cost 15000kip per person as well as 15,000 to enter the park. So cheaper then the most popular tourist spot as well.
  • Very nice falls. Very little people, you can swim and walk around. You need to arrive to a little town where they cross you in a boat for 15.000 kip and then there’s a fee to enter the falls 15.000 kip for foreigners. There’s two restaurantes in the falls, they don’t sell good food, maybe its better to take a little picnic. The park in general need maintenance, things are old and dirty.
