Dedicated to men and women killed during Laos' fight for independence, Patuxai represents a war monument decorated with various mythological creatures, gods, and animals. The structure's interior was constructed in a typical Laotian style, although the entire edifice resembles that of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. As you approach the monument, notice the ornate towers, which represent five principles of coexistence. Inside, you can explore seven floors housing administrative offices, a museum, a gift shop, and exhibits of pictures and statues of fallen heroes.
