Cape Point
Take a tour of Cape Point, a dramatic seaside promontory and part of Table Mountain National Park, known for its scenic landscape and hiking trails. The narrow coastline, discovered in 1488 by Bartholomeu Dias, became famous as the birthplace of the "Flying Dutchman" legend. A bird-watching paradise, the area shelters more than 200 species, including the African penguin, as well as a variety of other creatures like Chacma baboon, fallow deer, whales, and the elusive Cape mountain zebra. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Cape Town holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Cape Point and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

Awesome and fun filled day. Point of note, not where two oceans meet but beautiful in every other way.

Highly recommend to visit it if you’re in Cape Town. Firstly, the symbolic of the place is incredible. You really do feel like you are at the end of the world. It is a unique feeling. Secondly, you will love the landscape and the big cliffs. The views are really breathtaking and are a great spot for photography lovers. The facilities are good too.

Good place, relaxing a good way to see land and sea meet. The place looks better at sunset time and has rocks on the site. The beach is mostly rocky and clean, however the rocks are slippery because of algae. The place also has a small complex with shops, food, coffee and souvenirs, the place is one of the most famous in south africa, it has cultural significance and a deep history. Although, there are many more places in South Africa, you can avoid this place or choose it for the last as there are more interesting places in the country. There are many animal parks, natural animal habitats, etc that can be seen in Africa. Good for a single visit,, but is relaxing and isn't very crowded like other similar places in SA. Good place if you want a few good natural pics in front of natural landscapes.
