Visit Wat Saket, a hilltop Buddhist temple complex that has undergone several regal renovations over the years. In the 19th century, King Rama III tried to build an enormous chedi atop an artificial hill, only to find the soil was too soft to support its weight. His son had better luck with a more modest design, but it was King Rama V who completed the main complex standing today. The gold chedi juts out to cut an impressive silhouette atop the hill. Reaching the site involves climbing up 300 steps, so you may want to avoid the hottest time of day if possible. The views from the top--and the photos you'll take home with you--make the expenditure of energy more than worth it. Loved the spiritual feel of this temple on the hill. Very casual, with sarongs for rent fir ladies. Men in shorts ok. Nice views at the top, with drinks and snacks available to buy. The vulture...

This was an experience that will stay with me for as long as I live. The beauty here is amazing. If you're lucky enough, you'll be at the top just as the sun starts to set, and it gets dark. That's when you get to see the unexpected. As you gaze in the distance, you'll see many other temples shining in contrast to the night. Just beautiful.

One of the most beautiful temple in Bangkok. Said to be built and continuously developed since the reign of Rama I. From the recording, the temple collapsed many times in the past. But it was rebuilt and stable for a long time now. An iconic temple like standing on the top of golden temple, you can see from a far. You can walk from ground to the top to see the view of Bangkok city. There are also countless parking lots available. Must come to pay a visit!
