Sappada

Apart from the beauty of its mountain landscapes, Sappada also boasts a particular rural architecture of wooden houses built using an ancient technique called "blockbau." Thanks to its location in the imposing Dolomites, the village serves as a popular tourist destination in both winter and summer months.

To find ratings, other places to visit, more things to do, and other tourist information, go to the Sappada day trip planning website.

Rome to Sappada is an approximately 7.5-hour car ride. Traveling from Rome in September, expect nights in Sappada to be about the same, around 17°C, while days are slightly colder, around 28°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive back home.
