Explore hidden gems such as Marinoa City Fukuoka and Nijino Matsubara. Shop till you drop at Tenjin Underground Shopping Center and JR Hakata City Amu Plaza Hakata. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Fukuoka: Dazaifu (Dazaifu Tenman-gu & Kyushu National Museum), Karatsu Castle (in Karatsu) and Kitakyushu (Kokura Castle & Mojiko Retro). And it doesn't end there: take in the spiritual surroundings of Kushida Shrine, stop by Nakasu District, make a trip to Fukuoka Tower, and head off the coast to Nokonoshima Island.
