The fourth-largest Malay city and one of the country's premier shopping and commercial districts, Hat Yai has proved extremely popular among local tourists.You'll find plenty of places to visit near Hat Yai: Songkhla (Tang Kuan Hill, Golden Mermaid Statue, &more). There's lots more to do: walk around Hatyai Municipality Park, hunt for treasures at Asean Trade Bazaar, stroll through Thale Noi Waterbird Park, and view the masterpieces at Siam Art Gallery.
